STAY TUNED FOR OUR UPCOMING 2016 PRODUCTIONS!
Our Upcoming Production The Maltese Bodkin November 13 - 16th, 2014 North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre, Raleigh, NC
hiSTORYstage presents a comedy mystery with a Shakespearen twist, set in a 1940's radio station as the broadcast of the tales of Birnam Wood, hard boiled detective, are broadcast across the airwaves to the homes of eager listeners. Birnam Wood never asked to be in London, especially in London in 1605. When his partner turns up murdered, Wood has to find the killer amid a cast of suspects that includes Richard III, Falstaff, Iago, Mercutio, Viola, and even a merchant from Venice!
The real solution to the mystery seems to be in discovering the secret behind a mysterious dagger known as the Maltese Bodkin.
The production, directed by hiSTORYstage Managing Director Beth Roberts will star Wade Newhouse, Noelle Barnard Azarelo, Stephanie Rinehart, J.R. Aiello, Matt Fields, Tara Nicole Williams, Stephen Wall, and Rowell Gormon.
On The Verge (Or, The Geography of Yearning) July 24 - August 3, 2014 North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre Cross the wordplay of S J Perelman with the world-in-a-time-warp vision of Caryl Churchill and you might approximate the special flavor of ON THE VERGE. In Eric Overmyer's chimerical new comedy, three `sister sojourners', each a prototypical Victorian lady explorer, equipped with dialog as pithy as their helmets, thwack their machetes through the wilderness while telling tales of past jaunts among the natives. Directed by Rebecca Blum and written by Eric Overmyer.
William Shakespeare's, The Tempest April 4-6 & 10-13, 2014 Raleigh Little Theatre, Raleigh, NC Shakespeare's last play is considered by some to be his best work of theater, combining elements of mystery, romance, intrigue, broad comedy, magic, music and dancing! Directed by Jeremy David Clos.
